AiMOGA Mornine Becomes First Humanoid to Clear EU EN 18031 Cybersecurity Rule at IFA 2026
At IFA Berlin 2026, Chery-backed AiMOGA opened the show pitching Mornine as the first humanoid to clear the EU's mandatory EN 18031 cybersecurity standard, certified by TUV Rheinland alongside CE-MD and CE-RED. With over 3,000 units deployed across 60+ countries, AiMOGA is the most commercially deployed Chinese humanoid brand. The Mornine M1 is priced at approximately 285,800 yuan ($42,600).
AiMOGA Robotics, the embodied AI subsidiary of Chinese automaker Chery, opened IFA Berlin 2026 on September 4 with a certification claim no other humanoid brand can currently match: triple EU conformance including EN 18031, the mandatory cybersecurity framework for connected products that became enforceable across the European Union on August 1, 2025.
The Mornine humanoid was awarded the marks by TUV Rheinland in September 2025. It cleared both EN 18031-1:2024 (network protection — the device cannot be used to harm the networks it joins) and EN 18031-2:2024 (personal data protection — securing personal, traffic, and location data during processing). Alongside CE-MD (Machinery Safety) and CE-RED (Radio Equipment), the trio is the first such combination awarded to any humanoid robot.
AiMOGA, founded in January 2025 as Chery's dedicated embodied AI arm, reports more than 3,000 Mornine units delivered globally — more than 2,000 of them overseas — across 60+ countries and regions. That base makes AiMOGA the most commercially deployed Chinese humanoid brand, well ahead of Xpeng's IRON in small-batch trial production and BYD's internally tested prototypes.
The Mornine M1 stands 168 centimeters tall, weighs 70 kilograms, speaks 11 languages, and carries automotive-grade SLAM inherited from Chery's ADAS program that resolves navigation to within plus-or-minus five centimeters. The unit is priced at approximately 285,800 yuan (about $42,600), with the company targeting 10,000 global deliveries in 2027 and reportedly preparing an IPO.
Mornine walked the inaugural 'Robots on the Runway' catwalk at IFA's Creator Stage on September 5. However, the certification gap remains: EN 18031 covers unauthorized external access but cannot address government-directed data access under China's National Intelligence Law Article 7, which requires all Chinese organizations to support national intelligence work — a condition no privacy policy or European subsidiary structure removes.
An internet-connected humanoid deployed commercially without EN 18031 clearance is a non-compliant product.
